The RoSPA Advanced Driving Test fee is £48 but for drivers under the age of 26, the test fee is discounted to £41. If the test is booked through Manchester Group, a reduction of £2.50 on those costs is offered.

Advanced driving is 'no-frills' systematic safe driving and the Advanced Test is a true reflection of that philosophy.

As a candidate in the Manchester area, you can expect to be taken on motorways, A class routes and country roads. All route instructions will be given clearly in good time: the test does not require navigational skills on the part of the driver.

Progressive driving, that is keeping up to the speed limits, is expected but ALWAYS the emphasis is on SAFE DRIVING and consideration of the prevailing conditions.

At the end of the test the examiner will tell the candidate the result and discuss any point that may have arisen during the test. Successful candidates are awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze grades according to how well they conducted the test on the day.
